Hi, I'm Valansiar, I am a freelance bookkeeper and my own BOSS! When I worked for a law enforcement agency (civilian), I was assigned to the Fiscal Bureau.  Now, I had no experience in finance or bookkeeping but I quickly fell in love with solving number problems. 

A few years into my role, I realized this was a hidden passion and I knew that I wanted to continue solving number problems long after retirement so I started my own business. During my time in the Fiscal Bureau, I had the opportunity to work on grants that exceeded $5.7M, giving me an extensive amount of knowledge and experience in tracking income and expenses and in maintaining compliance.

In 2008, I started Soteria Enterprise.  I open an office to small business owners clean up their books but my confidence level was low because of the fear of failure.  Not long after starting, I landed my first client who gave me the confidence needed to keep going.

Since our inception, we have helped numerous business owners keep their books in compliance.  

Now that I am retired, I want to help others start their business so I created this course to provide the roadmap to starting a bookkeeping business and understanding the role of a bookkeeper.
